This is a new thursday night meet now at Hatfield Ice. I just want something to get going, just a little meet.
All TST rules apply, PLEASE be smart! No burnouts, obnoxious revving, speeding/racing through the lot, etc...
When?
Thursday Nights from 8 to 11
Where?
Hatfield Ice
350 County Line Road

No bonehead stuff, esp since my car already got side-swiped when I was reffing a game and parked out there back in January.

Yeah, while I like the idea please post that you have permission for people to meet and hangout there from management. No "I think we're ok"... it needs to be solid.

That's not gonna be anywhere close to big enough... esp. if all the people start showing up like @ Ross...
I just dont see that meet taking off. Did anyone get in touch with anyone @ the Mall about the old Boscovs lot like a bunch of people suggested?

well it can still be a temporary spot until someone finds something bigger

temporary, yes. but if word spread fast enough to make everyone not go to Ross anymore.... it will spread fast enough to have EVERYONE go to this spot.
I'll have to see if Justin has made any progress.

There's not even 100 spots in that circled in area lol.
Mall you can forget. Rent a cops won't have it. They didn't even want to let us group up for the Sonic Caravan!
Just from talking with Justin so far every lead has pretty much crashed and burned. Still working on it though.

no need to get defensive...
I hate to do it but Im going to speak a little bit of what my girlfriend was going to bring up.
A) the lot is still used by the public between 8-11pm... if there are one (or more) hockey games going on, you're going to have not only car people traffic, but pedestrian traffic with kids.
B) just because you tell people not to speed... who will enforce it? which if it is not enforce causes danger
C) the location is terrible. im sorry, but geographically compared to the Ross Meet, this meet is hard to find, and County Line road SUCKS for slammed cars
As I had said before, the Hilltown Walmart area is the best idea around. The supermarket that used to be there had a HUGE lot that could easily hold 500 cars which is more than enough. It is not used by ANYONE anymore, and the traffic would be at a minimum because of the distance between said lot and the Walmart lot. There is easier access to it from 309 and from 5 points. There was also talk of the new Lowes on Forty Foot Road near the Turnpike/Lansdale. Yeah, I act like it's so easy and I'm sure people will be like, ok so you do it... and you know what? I won't lol.
I'm not putting my name in with the cops no matter how cool they are because when I sold my red MR2, I basically became a nobody to them again, and I like it that way. I'm not trying to rain on your parade dude, but saying "this is the new Ross Meet!" is opening up a can of worms that spot CAN NOT handle. It doesn't matter who owns it, or what you say you'll do. You can try it, but don't get defensive because people are trying to help you out.

I am still on board with PSI performance in lansdale. I don't want to hear slammed cars can't make it in the lot because Nicks convertible 2G is SLAMMED and he makes it in. We can fit a decent amount of cars, have discounted dyno pulls, and there is plenty of off street parking to if the lot overflows. The owners also allowed us there, just my two cents because I know I would love not only to look at cars and hang out but also watch cars dyno.

is this still going for thursday??
I have a hockey game to ref at 9:40 tomorrow night...should I show up a little early to take pictures? Are there gonna be a few cars there?
This is a good spot if it's to stay small, but seriously in the fall during the season, Thursday nights are big SHSHL nights and varsity games will draw cars from spectators and the lot gets pretty full as it is.

Did anyone go there last night? I was planning on stopping by but didnt hear if anyone was actually going to show up. If not everyone wants this to be the thursday meet we could always switch days, anyone who is local would stop by

I agree with that not being a good spot, but also im not sure if that is still considered Hilltown, but from what i have heard Hilltown cops are the worst, so that may not be the best idea. And there has been talk about the new Lowes, but thats not really montgomeryville anymore and i think it may be a further hike for some people. But the parking lot is super suitable for a meet becuase of the nice lighting and space.

my bf (justinlansdale) and I drove by there and there was not a soul there.
I showed up for my game at 9:20 and all the traffic was hockey related.

I hope that Lowes works out because I will save some gas. Won't even need to start my car, just cruise downhill in neutral
