4th Annual Sonic Meet Attendees: Would you be interested in Sonic Meet tshirts?

Trying to gauge interest on whether this would be a successful endeavor or not. Its a tough one because we'll have to take a guess at the number of shirts to order and it will require a lot of up front costs, but if done right there's the potential for it to be a great way to raise more money for Make A Wish.

So... if we made up a simple one or two color tshirt that was a 4th Annual Sonic Meet specific event tshirt... would you be interested in buying one for $10 lr $12?

It wont be fancy, just a simple cool shirt as a novelty to remember the day and show off that you were there.

Its a tough call and I don't want to do it unless we're confident that we wont lose money on it so hopefully the feedback in this thread will help with that.

And also, what are your feeling on vinyl stickers in addition to or instead of shirts?

edit: As with everything we're doing at The Sonic Meet, All Proceeds are going to Charity :)

this will be my first time going- is this seriously that big of a meet? plus i dunno- i personally wouldn't spend money on a t shirt about a meet- maybe a t shirt about meat or made of meat.

i think if you spun the t shirt message to about the charity it would be great-(i'm assuming proceeds go to make a wish)

something like "I'm making a wish at the sonic meet- 2010"

I would probally buy one if it was a tst shirt. with the sonic 2010 somewhere, but not as the main focus.

Man I really have no idea on design yet... that was the next step but I've got so much else on my plate with getting the meet ready that I'm not sure if it'd be smart to take on something else too.

And yes I'll have all the TST merch at the meet... 25% of all purchases will be donated to MAW :).

I think if you made the front of the t-shirt feature just the TST logo, and made the back feature the meet/charity info (maybe in some sort of roll-call style, with sponsors listed too?), AND made 'em available in my midget sizing -- I'd rock it. Charity FTW.

I think it's a good idea. I'm just throwin out an idea for it but how bout like the angry piston vinyl and a SONIC logo on the front and then on the back have the flyer from for the event with all the ensuing text.

So basically front would be:

SONIC! TST(or angry piston)



and on the back have this flyer with:

"4th annual Sonic Meet benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation" at the top of it. (Obviously removing all of the text within the picture.)

^^ more detailed picture = more expensive screen charge = more expensive end product. plus, the more detailed the picture, the bigger the chance for the screen print image to be skewed or come out blurry.

Brian, how about making a shirt for it, but not including anything year-specific? That way, if you have extras, they can be sold at the next year's meet. Thought I would throw that out there.

Been thinking about this today. I'm thinking something like

"I helped make wish with *insert TST decal/logo* at the Sonic Meet 2010!"

I think that would cover everything pretty good. Could even use the Make A Wish logo in there.... but it might be too busy for one sentence.

haha, well i wouldn't be expensive because it is only 3 colors (taking white out would bump down to 2). For being fruity, don't forget its a kids charity. The stars could go.

If it was up to me, i would say ditch the stars, have that design on the back and put our logo (TST) across the front of the shirt. Simple enough and nice.

I don't like how the box is around the Make a Wish. My head is spinning with the idea of making a wrench and having that logo in there. Their damn Star is making it odd.

Yes. This version is MUCH better than the first. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have bought that first one with the crazy stars all over the place.

My only suggestion .. since the 'Make A Wish' is in all capitals, maybe the '4th Annual Sonic Meet' in all caps, too? In a similar font?

And yeah, the box around 'Make A Wish' is okay now -- but a little tweaking might not hurt. :)

I would need to get a font for the text from Bryan. I think he has a specific one he wants used for that. I could do it all caps, that would work nice.

I definitely like the progress on the design! I'd buy one, probably in black.

my only concern is that shirts take time to order and produce. if they need to be done by the 25th for the meet (23rd or 24th at the very very latest to be picked up/delivered depending on where you get them from) then they should be ordered soon. especially if there's going to be a decent quantity. it still seems close and like a rush or extra fee would be charged to get them on time.

not trying to be Debbie Downer on the idea because I want one... I just know how the tshirt business works.

The logo for the back of the t-shirt would look good as a sticker I think.

EDIT: Troll are you gona have any large window vinyls at the meet? I have a pretty big back window to fill up.
