I just purchased a 2001 jetta (auto) but the tranny slips from 1st to 2nd gear and from 3rd to 4th, it also kicks really hard when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. I replaced the transmission fluid and it helped a little bit. I dont have any experience in vw, so i need a guru to take a look at my car.
thanks in advance.

BTW I'm in philadelphia

How many mile are on the car?
When i was working with my buddy on VW's, we had a car with some trans issues(hard shifting etc), and after swapping the valve body out, as well as new fluid, it fixed the issues.

Lenny @ L&T Enterprises: (610) 264-9191............be prepared to stay on the phone line, he's insanely busy. But when you get a hold of him he is awesome. I think most guys on here can vouch for him.

He fixed my blown #4 coil and O2 Sensor. $700, and he is the only guy i let work on my 73 bug.

Call us at Meenan Transmissions in Lansdale 215-855-5123. We do a ton of vw/audi (01M, 09G, Jatco, ZF, etc) and have a great familiarity with the valvebody issues they develop. We are doing a trans in a Phaeton next week actually. We do alot of transmissions for North Penn VW customers too when the dealer price is too steep. We have also done alot of work for other TST members and vendors. Give us a shout M-F 8:00-5:30.

His kid Warren is the **** too....he gave me a part out of a junked Jetta to complete my armrest delete. We went in the back and climbed up on junked cars to find the piece and he was nice as hell. He was telling me about his dads crazy dirt track in his backyard. they race dirt bikes and Lenny does all these crazy flips lol.
