Yeah this was years ago I was 17 then and 26 now. I used aerospeed "coilovers" with tokiko blue struts. It was like a damn trampoline. I even remember hitting my head on the roof once. But low yes, I tucked 205/65/14's to the wheel lip

if u dont care about the car then why lower it......why waste your time?
If your gonna do something, do it right....or dont do it at all.

Just cut your springs.

Cheap: Decent struts and springs

Cheaper: Stock struts, lowering springs

Cheapest: Cut dem springs.

Obviously the cheaper you go, the crappier the ride will get. You can do struts and springs for maybe $250 if you look around, springs for under $100, and cutting your springs obviously is free. Cutting your springs will lower it, but the stock shocks will go after not too long if you slam it. Lowering springs will give you a little stiffer of a ride, and the shocks might last a bit longer depending on how low you go, but they will eventually blow from being low (and not being designed for it). The only permenant, non-ghetto solution is aftermarket struts and springs, or coilovers.

don't people cut springs anymore.

People who cut springs only need to do it once to find out why youre better off shelling out for something not ghetto.

people who buy cheap parts off ebay spend money to be just as ghetto.
IMHO

Cheap parts on ebay are hit or miss. Would I buy suspension components from an ebay company? Hell no. But something stupid like an intake? Sure wtf.

Sarcasm is hard to understand over the internet I guess.

Either way, if your going to put junk on your car, you might as well cut your springs because they are both half-ass ways of doing things.

Those springs in the OP are a knock off of the Skunk2 Lowering Springs. They are adjustable ride hight, and depending on what make and model civic you have, I can order you a set of Ksports if you want.
