So here's the deal, the Subie was involved in a full body roll. Rear quarter panel and rear glass was damaged. Engine then seized and a new one was swapped into the car. What are the expect problems I'll run into with this? (Besides possible frame damage)

Just don't seem worth it to me. 85K on a damaged body, unknown 79k motor, and the price their looking for is high imo. I think you can find something else in the price range that isn't so uncertain.
Some people may think its a good deal and jump but for me i'd stay away.

+1. Holy hell that price is way to high. I think you can find a stock 03 with that mileage and all original for that price. This would should be half at least.

maybe not half... but 8500 is crazy. you can get a clean bug eye with ok miles and some nice bolt ons (or all stock) for that $

Just sold a 2002 WRX with 32000 miles for 12600 One accident, one owner. Car was 99% the 1% is the trunk did not have the carpet... Which we were putting in when the customer said don't... He was gutting the car anyway.

Just an FYI there are better ones out there.

There was an 06-07 wrx involved in a crash (rear 1/4), For around that price, With very low milage I was going to buy. It's in CT aswell. I don't know if it's still on there or not though. That is way too high of a price for that car!!!!! DONT DO IT!

Also the accident JUST happened. And does the warranty he purchased back in 2005 transfer to you?

The fact that the ebay listing says NOTHING about the car's history should be a big red flag.

car has frame damage. 5000 - 6000 or walk

Dont forget now probably a salvage or reconstructed title, Which basically drops the value of a car down to nothing. Unless they didn't report that. Either way $8,500 or anything close to that is WAY TOO MUCH!!!!

Check autotrader.com and cars.com because there are a bunch on there. There is a mint black one on there with low milage for elss then what that place is asking!

You could find a good unwrecked wrx for 8500 pretty easily. Don't do it.

More mileage, and has damage(also a year older), but you could probably get it for half the price as that ebay one.

Ya I'm not selling that anymore! I decided to keep it a day after I listed it, but thanks!

Either way, You can DEFINATLY find them at better prices, With the same or lower milage, With NO accidents. You just hafto look on different sites!

Just dont jump into that car only because it's local, Because you'll regret it. Just take your time and look before you spend the cash!

I wouldn't offer anywhere near 8.5k for that car... I'd say your money can be spent on better quality elsewhere!

Thanks guy/girls I wasn't going to buy it just wanted a opinion. I have a little bit over 15,000 saved. Since my lease is ending next year I'm starting to look for a good dd/project car.

I also want only manual cars since automatic has totally lost it's "fun" in driving.

For around 15k you can find a great 04-05 wrx.

for 15k you can buy a really good dd and have half your money left( if not more) to simply save

2k more and you can buy a low milage SRT6. Spend an additional $1200 on pulley, intake, and tune and you are touching 11's. No better performance bargain out there. Plus you get a hand built Mercedes AMG engine with forged internals.
