Delaware Cruise to 4th Annual Sonic Meet

The 4th Annual Sonic Meet has been moved back to next Sunday, May 2nd due to weather.

The forecast hasn't improved so we've decided its going to be best to move the meet back in hopes of holding it on a nicer day. I apologize to all of those who this creates an issue for. We all wished for perfect weather on the original date, but its out of our control and it wouldn't be right to intentionally hold the meet in wet weather. Believe me, I know this is a frustrating situation, but we're working with what we have here and keeping a positive attitude about having a great charity event next Sunday on a warm sunny day.

So for those of you who might not check upcoming events, the 4th annual sonic meet is upon us!

The meet is on Sunday, May 2 at Noon.

I went to this last year, and despite the rain, it was one of the biggest meets I've ever been to. Hopefully the weather will be better this year.

So basically I wanted to see if any DE people were interested in going up. I will be making the trip.

We should meet in the Lantana Square Shopping center in Hockessin. From there it's a straight shot up 41 into PA. The ride should be about 45-50 minutes from Lantana Square.

Well they're on different days, actually a month and a half in between so go to both!!

I'm pretty sure that MissDSM and i will be going, however i think we might meet up with a cruise from the bensalem area. We'll probabaly leave at like 7 or 8, depending upon when they are leaving. I went with that cruise the first year and had a blast. There was a ton of cars and was a lot better than being in only a small group of people. I'll let you all know once the date gets closer

I'm interested. Have to see what's that weekend as the time gets closer. I would probably need to put the full exhaust back on for this trip, too. I'm sure there will be a police present that won't appreciate a 3" dump under the car :)

The meet is a week away guys!

The preliminary weather forecast (weather.com's 10-day forecast that, as all of you know, has a history of being inaccurate) is calling for a 60% chance of rain next Sunday.

Basically, watch this thread and the main thread I linked in the first post. There is an official RAIN DATE or May 2 scheduled for the event and the event planner said they aren't afraid to use it. So check the thread more frequently as Sunday gets close...

This was officially pushed back to NEXT SUNDAY MAY 2 due to the weather. So the cruise will now be held next Sunday.
