SCCA has road racing classes on a club level for a lot of different cars, im sure a modified honda class is in there.

Ive done some driving in the past with NASA Northeast and they would run classes on HPDE based on skill. once you progressed up to the higher classes you would then need a race prepared car. After their HPDE stuff they have numerous car classes for actual racing on a club level. I know they have showroom stock stuff but am not sure how high of a class they get. I can look it up and get back to you. or maybe there is someone else on here who knows the answer right away.

I just took a trip to nasaproracing.com and they have lots of things listed. one of particular interest to you would be honda challenge.

let me know if this is what you were thinking of!

South Jersey SCCA is running a bunch of PDX's at NJMP this year, check em out and head over to the forum if you have any other questions, there are a bunch of road racers that hang around in there who are always more than willing to help new guys out :)

Are you looking to race or just get track time? Because those are vastly different things and require different equipment and certifications.

Having a Civic with a cage is not nearly enough information to determine what class you would be in no matter what you are looking to do. Most lapping/track/HPDE days don't class your car based on prep level, just driver ability.

NASA does have a Honda Challenge class, NASA Honda Challenge (http://www.hondachallenge.com/), read the rules to see if your car (and driver) fits into any of those classes.

Good resources for you to do some research regarding available track time:
NASA NE (http://www.nasaracing.net/)
Riesentöter Porsche Club (http://www.rtr-pca.org/vroom-vroom/index.html)
Schattenbaum Porsche Club (http://www.schattenbaum.org/DriverEd.aspx)
SCCA (http://www.scca.org/hub.aspx?hub=1)
Philly SCCA (http://www.phillyscca.com/)
Performance Drivers Association (http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/index.php)

I've done days with many of the clubs above and others (BMCCA, Del-Val Miata Club), if you have any specific questions let me know.
