At full boost and shifting at high rpm i really like my type s, but when cruising and going from 0-5 psi i hate it. Its a big annoying whistle. My friend has same bov and it sounds little bit liek a whip crack from 0 and up and when wot sounds pretty much same as mine. Its all in adjustign it and not havign it leak.
My favorite bov is still tial.

I have the RS. I know lots of people who use the Type-s without any problems, they mainly use them because they are easy to recirculate and hold pressure.

the type-s bov is so good that they..STOPPED PRODUCING IT! haha

I have the RS on my dsm, it works great
But i've also had
Turboxs rfl, type h, forge half recirc/vent, H-34 recirc...

the bottom line is, it depends on if you want a recirc or not. IF you do, go greddy rs, if you dont, id say go hks. matt had both on his car, he went with the rs and i have the hks. Both are nice...no squeeks.

Recirc=car runs better (especially if your making above 300whp)...on my dsm, it went from stalling a bunch to being smooth..big difference

ARC owns

I currently have the Type RS on my car (came on the car)....its not too bad....has a little flutter noise when you release the throttle at pretty much anything under 50% throttle....at full throttle its kinda of a higher pitched woosh like noise. doesn't leak on me either. i'm also running it atmospheric

can't wait to get my new pipe tomorrow so i can put my ARC on this car :supz: i miss that bov

I have the HKS and it's a recirc BOV, and I like it, it's not a loud ass BOV but it makes some noise.

I have had mine for over a year now. I still love hearing it. I like it mostly because it is so different from every other one on the market. And at high RPM its an awesome sound. It does take some time to adjust though, or you will hear it whistle on de-accel in vacuum!

had the type s on my evo for a while, it sounds awesome and unique. It does whistle a tiny bit at low boost, but I liked it.

p.s. I have it for sale since I no longer have an evo....PM me if interested

I use the greddy type s.. it sounds great recirculated and not.

Recirc=car runs better (especially if your making above 300whp)...on my dsm, it went from stalling a bunch to being smooth..big difference

Is this with a stock MAF sensor, or MAP sensor swap? If you are MAP you should have no issues to stalling or any of the such. It could have possibly been something else causing the stalling if you were MAP?

^Yeah. Makes no difference on the SRT-4! (Thats what SilverTurboRidin drives anyways!)

i have the greddy type s and i like it, since i put my front mount on it sound different in a good way, but overall great product, only neg. is that it does whine a bit when in high vac.
