The EotM people are usually pretty friendly, and we certainly felt welcome at our first meet, but I have found that, in general, it works better to introduce yourself to a new group than wait for them to approach you, as it is easy for a group to get caught up talking to each other and exclude a new guy (or girl) even if they don't mean to.

Malls are notoriously bad places to have meets. The rent-a-cops always think we're up to no good and have to protect all their patrons inside EVEN if we're parked in the most remote, unused portion of the parking lot. I remember the huge subaru meet at the KoP mall. We were there for all of 40 minutes. Then imagine all those cars filing into line then going to the tiny Hooters that's up there. Lol...that sucked, they put the whole group onto one bill and too many people left unpaid or underpaid.

Two things learned: 1) malls won't let you have a meet. 2) Checks for each table now.

Just read that thread, that SUCKS. I had a run in with my EVO when it was new. Wound up spinning into a snow bank and tearing off part of the factory lip. I can only imagine what you must have been going through(and probably still are). Good luck with it.

Nah, it is not a SLR, it is a Sony DSC-F707, but I am probably keeping it for things such as snowboarding so I can still squeeze out the quality yet not worry about breaking it. I'm not 100% sure yet, I'll let you know if I sell it.

A little bit of editing, I don't go edit crazy, I just make sure I get a good picture so I can do the little bit of editing I like to fit it better.

I would say that overall, it was a pretty good meet!! It was nice not having the cops show up. haha

I'm glad I decided to go even though the weather wasnt that great. Its all ways nice to be able to put some faces with the sn's. There was a great turnout.

Hopefuly in a month or so I can have a meet at the shop, its about 30min from the Red Robin.
