any and all aftermarkets exhausts are illegal and you can be stopped for having them on you car no matter how loud or quiet they are

I have to disagree with you on this. You need to do some reading before you post. I may not have a badge, but I know a bit about laws. If I may ask, where exactly are you a cop at? If I'm correct in my assumption, I'd say Philadelphia. For the simple fact that most Philly cops don't give a damn about the "technicality" type of laws as much as they do with resolving bigger problems. Suburbia cops have nothing better to do than read up on laws while sitting in their cruisers sipping on their Starbucks and polishing their nightstick.

Just because an exhaust is aftermarket does not make it illegal. What makes an exhaust illegal is the decibel level it emits at a specified speed. Anyone who wants to read up on this can do so at:

the guys asking me the questions about exhuast are not going out and buying QUIET exhaust to replace a stock part because it malfunctioned.. these are non- res. catback exhuast which in most cases are loud and will fall under that law u posted.. if someone has a quiet exhaust they wont get stopped..like i said before..
