:furious: It's silly. If someone wants to buy something they think is too expensive then they can PM the person, but I see way to many people just shooting their mouths off. I haven't sold anything on the forum, but it's rather annoying when looking at an item, and see 10 posts about "your price is too high" "No it's not" "yes it is" "Blah blah blah"

But I digress.

I dont think its that silly, people are just looking out for other people.....If someone feels it is to high they are going to say it just help someone not get ripped off who may not know about it or not have done the proper research....

But i do agree it makes the sale thread look bad and you look bad, at the same time you may not know how much to sell something for so you post higher then are willing to work down from that....

Stuff like this will never change

Per the for sale forum rules:
If you aren't genuinely interested, you should not be responding
If you are viewing a For Sale or Want To Buy thread and aren't genuinely interested in the item, do not reply at all. If you have nothing positive to say, don't say anything at all. If you do not agree with a price that someone is selling an item for, DO NOT post your thoughts. If you don't like it, dont buy it, and also don't post about it either.

If you see it, report it and we'll take care of it from there.

i understand that there is a limit to everything, but one person thinking its too high or something really shouldnt be frowned upon, but of course, tst wouldnt understand singularity.

its a public forum, people are free to voice their opinions at stuff, yes it can be annoying to have that stuff in a for sale thread, but you can't keep the public quiet. That's what is great about being an american is because you can voice your opinion, just like you are doing here. If you want dictatorship, go somewhere else, if you want to have to watch what you say, move to another country, otherwise, get over it.

Yea I would rather have someone trash my price, interested or not, than have my item not sell because I priced it wrong.

The problem is people think their cars are worth alot more then they are, And people ask a ton of money for garbage if it was correctly priced theese comments wouldn't happen.

Its very simple... you should not be replying to a thread in the for sale / want to buy section unless you are genuinely interested.

People are free to price what they have however they like, and it really doesn't involve someone who's not genuinely interested. Some people feel that their opinions should be shared far and wide as often as possible, and all that does is clutter the forum with posts that don't contribute.

The FS section guidelines say that you should not respond unless you are genuinely interested. You should not be posting just to say that a price is too high. If you are interested and wish to make an offer than please be respectful and PM the user to see if you can work something out.

^ Exactly. I have had plenty of people trash the price of my car I have for sale now on numerous forums even through PM's of people that blatantly said they were not interested and were in AZ or CA. It's ridiculous. They don't know what it's worth, they don't know the rarity of the car in the area, etc. There is a lot that goes into play with making your price. It pisses me off when people say my price is to high. You don't like it GTFO of my thread. When I'm selling stuff I don't like to deal with anybody that isn't serious about purchasing what I have for sale for somewhere near the price I asked. If it's not selling for what I want than I will more than likely drop the price because no one is willing to pay for it at that price. It's rather simple IMO but some people think they know it all and know what every thing is worth which is not the case obviously.
