Feeler: Thrown and Blown Doylestown, PA Winter Meets

Since summer our car group, Thrown and Blown has been hanging out in the Doylestown Parking Garage across the street from the courthouse. It has 3 floors and people rarely use the 3rd floor on the weekends.
The most cars we have had down there of just friends was 16, and we didnt have any trouble because we were quiet.
However, we have been kicked out once or twice because of noise(The neighbors LOVE to complain)
BUT, we are friends with security.

So if I could get some feedback on this it would be great!

its not too far from the ROSS meets, bout 15 mins and its all enclosed in the PG, so there is no wind and a lil warmer. It's a good location out of the elements. The only problem would be neighbors.

If i get a decent amount of feedback, we will talk with the authorities and security about potentially having meets there.:)

no we've never had issues with 16, justone time out of all of them, they heard the loud cars and decided to phone in, but we just got a warning

So it was less then 16 cars and you had problems. Doesn't sound too good to me bro.

Because the new one is almost done it is set to be torn down they are gonna finish the new one to replace it soon, and you will have a problem with meets there or anywhere in doylestown te cops will come I guaruntee you that.

if the authorities were aware of our presence tho, it might not be a prob if it was a set night, not just whenever.
thats why im just askin if people are interested and we will go talk to them about it

i work closely with the police officers in the boro, they already have enough issues with kids hanging out in the lot in front of Genuardi's. I really dont think they're gonna enjoy more noise or other complaints from residences about "a bunch of kids being loud." They're not dicks like most people think, theyre just doing theyre job. which part of protect and serve, is to serve.

The cops have no problems with the kids in genuardis And Most town cops are dicks if they have soo many problems why are they never called out, town cops period are dicks no matter where you go but a meet in doylestown won't happen.

ive never been afraid of a parking structure... until this one.. you can kick rocks off the top layer through the holes and onto cars in the layer below. I'm surprised that this is still even open.

I think the garage is a good place for meets. ya some dtown cops are dicks but some would love to sit there and chat with us about cars. Iv been to the meets in a couple of the shoppin centers around town and as long as we dont leave a mess and keep the noise level down they just stay away.

best thing to do is just try it and see how it goes.

Yea, very true, you just have to see how it goes and talk to the Police, etc. You'll never know until you ask... It's worth a try. Most of the time the PD is cool, as long as you are respectful and you dont cause trouble.

We use to meet up there on rainy days like 2 years ago it wont fly we had 15-30 cars in there on weekends if it was raining an they'll throw ya out at first complaint no questions asked. The problem with it is if you come up threw the bottom or the side exhaust on peoples cars becomes loud as hell an the houses around that call the cops. EvoMike's right its not gonna be there much longer an its not worth the trouble. If you reflect badly there you just ruin it for the guys that always hang out in town cause the way dolyestown works is everyone seems to take the blame. There like 3 lots in doylestown off limits cause of the old groups that use to be around town 6-7 years ago we use to get 100+ cars on friday an saturday nights then once it started to get that big we had so much trouble that they would shut our meet ups down faster then we could all hang out. Now its just the core group of those meets that are out an some new people I haven't been out much since those days cause its been that beat an its still the same way. If something dumb happens the cops know were to go looking I came out to a 30+ car hang out this past summer an it was shut down by midnight with cops in the lot.

yeah, jim and mike are right, there really are no good places in town, been one of the "core" group since i was 16, doesnt matter where you go, youll be kicked out, especially in the borough, theres really only 2 cops in the borough that are cool, the rest are complete dicks, they write useless tickets, theyll give you **** for nothing, its just the way they are. And its not people that call when you go to the parking garage, my aunt lives in a house that backs directly up to the parking garage and are close with the majority of the borough pd, and also have a scanner, you can say people call and your cool with security, but they will call the cops on you, ive seen it and ive heard it on the scanner, the security calls so they can seem cool with you and put the blame on the cops. Just like the security at staples in town, he was real cool with us, always, and as soon as hed drive away, hed call the cops, then come back up and say, i dont know why they came.....its the same as the garage, theres only one house that actually backs up to the garage, the rest are businesses, and thats my aunts, i can tell you for a fact that she has never called the times ive been kicked out of there, she may have for you, if you guys were being dumb, but other than that, the security guards are the ones that are responsible for kicking people out the majority of the time.

Pretty sure that lots off limits due to trash an crap left behind when it use to be a big meet up spot plus at one point the 4x4 trucks were turfing it. Plumsteadville is will to drive down to kick people out an hand out tickets if need be. The one night they kept a group of us there an made us pick up trash or get a ticket for littering.
