girlfriend's car's alternator is going... or at least i'm fairly sure of that. its make a hideously loud metallic sound.

I've never done any work w/ belts or the charge system, was wondering how difficult a job this is and what tools i'd need.

thanks

2.2 engine looks easy. 2.4 engine you will need a good , long, 13mm wrench to turn the tensioner to get the belt off. should take less than an hour to do on either engine.

You can do it was basic hand tools. Nothing special.

... and demand a pee-pee touch for working on the car too.

doesn't require any kind of tool to check that the belt is tight enough?

i get my pee-pee touched quite often by her, so there would be no issue with the demanded payment ;)

Nope, the tensioner will take care of it all.
