which one would you choose and why?

both have 450 hp
caged
porsche has a 6 speed manual $130ish flat 6 rr
bmw 7 speed paddle, $170ish V8 fr

i prefer the manual gear box over the dual clutch, i think the bmw will have a 50/50 weight distribution though.

i think id take the porsche, its a tough choice but i think the GT3 is a head turner, and has a better price.

<3 BMW, but you really can't go wrong either way. I assume the M is cheaper? If so then that would really seal the deal for me. And the paddle shift and weight distribution would make it a monster on a track.

the porsche is 130ish and the bmw supposedly is 175ish, kinda makes it an easy choice seeing how you can dump 50 grand into the porsche and make it sicker. honestly i wouldnt know how to make that porsche any better, definitely wouldnt turbo it, everything is perfect on it. it is pretty much a street legal race car. maybe tires exhaust and some straight cut gears.

im going to go with the Porsche as well, i love the way it looks and sounds. and you really dont have to do much with it. its almost perfect. i would prob do the above mods along with some suspension upgrades. other than that i wouldnt do to much to it.

Porsche here as well. I prefer rowing my own gears as opposed to the paddles, I think the wing fits the Porsche body a million times better than it does the M3, and as much as I hate to say it, I'm going to include the the "look at me" factor, and to the average person the Porsche is going to be seen as the more exotic automobile. The big dealbreaker is the wing on the M3 though, it looks completely out of place imo, whereas on the GT3 it kind of fits. Maybe I'm just used to seeing the touring cars or the prior generation GT cars, but it isn't as visually offensive to me.

even though i agree with itsStock about the wing on the bmw, I'd still choose the M3 over the Porsche. The M3 is almost perfect with it's 50/50 weight, twin clutch gearbox(brutally fast), 8600 redline, and amazing powerband. I currently work at a BMW dealership and can attest to the utter insanity the newer twin clutch SMG trans is compared to the crappy SMG trans in the older e46's. ALMOST ferrari esq in how badass it shifts.

Plus you cannot beat BMW's warranty (if it even covers this model...) And it has wayy more room in the back for more tires and such. Imaging how hard it'd be to suff some extra tires in the back of the porsche with all that orange scaffolding crammed in there.

But I will say the GT3 RS is considerably cheaper and looks tough as nails.

I love the new M models but once you see a GT3 in person your choice will not be hard.

Can't chose. I'd prolly end up with the M3 just because its probably a little bit more civil.

Easy. Gt3 looks like a race car m3 doesn't. I spend that kind of money I'm not getting a car that looks like a pimp my ride special.

the GT3 RS and then I'd take the extra money and go to a bunch of driver ed. events so that I can learn how to properly drive it lol.

im also dissapointed bmw has V8's. the straight 6 is my favorite engine design.

if only porsche had a 50/50 weight distribution and a carbon roof.

porsche has the wheels with the center lug for faster tire changes, bmw also has all that "orange scaffolding"

either way if your racing this car and need to bring tires, your either trailering it, or you live close to a track and can have someone with a truck to bring you tires. the only thing your trunk space should have is some kind of fire extinguisher system.
