I am looking for a shop that does this kind of work. I already have a kit in mind. http://www.aerokits.net/DiabloHinge/gtf.htm

I have a 93 RX-7 and really like to talk to some of the right people about this mod before I end up spending a ton of money.

Please Don't do it....Get whatever money your gonna get and upgrade your car, like interanls or even a bigger turbo.

I can't really persuade you not to, but a faster RX-7 is more respectable then one with Lambo doors on it....but if it's what you like then get it. I know one shop around my way that does it. If your around the South Philly area it can take you anywhere from 10-20 minutes.

if your gonna do it then GT factory is the way to go their door hinges are top quality and personally i think the best ones out... i was gonna get them for my old car but i got in an accident and i dont think a 4-door car would look right with just 2 doors going up.... but i say go for it if its what you want...

Thanks for those willing to help. The internals of my car are already taken care of. I like the lambo doors so I want to do them. I understand that everyone has there opinion and mine is that i like the look but i don't know if i like the price.

If you're a bigger person, don't go with lambo. You will NOT find it easy to get in and out. Go suicide if anything.

:iagree:

And I like Lambo doors. Then again I have LED washer nozzle lights as well, lol.

Still, Lambo doors don't really give you a lot of room to manuever to get it and out of the car. And overall they are more cumbersome to manage.

if you've never driven/ridden around in a car with lambo doors you really need to.....i've never driven nor ridden in a car with lambo doors but i have gotten in and out of cars to see what it was like and i can tell you its the biggest pain in the ass.....i'm only 5'6" 160lbs. and it was a complete whore for me to get in and out......you're interior will be soaked, its very cumbersome to open and close those doors all the time, the opening is VERY narrow and you have to maneuver into and out of the car every time, when lowering the doors to close them, its not a very comforting feeling (and yes this was even with a GT Factory kit properly installed in a car)

aside from the fact that if you go to participate in any form of racing, there isn't a sanctioning body out there that will permit you to run your car with lambo doors when you don't own a lamborghini

Guys he asked for a body shop around not a personal opinion. I like lambo doors though the comment about no lambo and a race car is good information. Don't clutter the thread

my intention wasn't to disuade him from (IMO) wasting his money on lambo doors.....rather to provide him with a viewpoint that he may not have considered previously when looking into this mod
