OK I had these for a few months but I don't drive much so never really got to test them til now.

They are expensive but dam its better then any turbo upgrade. You can have 1000 hp but unless you know you can enjoy it then whats the point. Anyways thats what I took away from my trip.

I started off a bit wary and just concerned that it wouldn't work as well crossing 3 states.

I didn't run into a single speed trap in PA or NJ. However once I got into upstate NY the state troopers were everywhere. Worse they are real sneaky and love to profile. Yellow sports car seems to really catch there attention.

The worst was a state trooper who followed me for 20 miles so far back that unless I had the V1 going off the whole time I would have never known he was there. I guarantee I would have got a ticket if it wasn't for the V1 saving my ass.

I ran thru so many speed traps heading up to Rochester it's unreal.

I only ran into one cop using Laser. Now this is scary. Even with all this stuff it's not a guarantee you will not get pulled over. You get very little warning with laser. The blinders protect you but if your doing 120 mph and your a half mile from the cop when you see him chances are you are gonna get pulled over. Thankfully I wasn't doing anything stupid at the time and slowing from 85-65 wasn't that big of deal.

If your gonna speed then this is equipment you need. It's not a license to drive like a complete idiot. If there is traffic then chill out and drive the same speed as everyone else. Wait for open highways to have fun.

And now we will get the 100"save for the track comments." I can respect those that really do but usually they just say that and then speed down the road themselves. Save the hypocrisy for someone else. HAHA

I can attest to the V1.. It is amazing. Those arrows are fantastic. I think it may be time to upgrade mine.. Haven't done it in a year and a half

Well no one including myself wants to make the $1000 investment. However every time you get a $500 ticket you want to kick yourself in the head.

my dad has this, we used it from philly to northwest colorado
http://www.escortradar.com/passport9500ix-details.php

it rated better than the V1 as far as sensitivity goes, it has a gps so if you go past a false alert twice in the same spot in cancels it out, but if its gone the 3rd time it will uncancel it.

the thing i learned about radar detectors is that it lets your guard down, which is just as effective as a radar detector unless the cop is hiding. and if your the only car on the road and your going 120, the cop is going to wait until your real close then flip on the radar making it to late to stop since he already clocked you.

oh yeah this one picks up speed cameras and red light cameras.
