Wats good guys. Ive been told at work today that in a year...year 1/2, that theyre tightening down the law on illegal exhausts. No cats/rez gets massive ticket or even impounded. Has anyone else heard this cause it sounds like bull.

Technically the law is the same now, nobody really enforces it though. When my car was straight-piped, nobody even looked at it twice.
I just got through new training on vehicle inspections starting in 2010 and Not much has changed and you'd be surprised that legally even and inspection facility can fail just about every car on the road if it didn't just come off the showroom floor. Including ANY modification to an exhaust system that alters the stock configuration or mounting points.
And no Cat has always been a very large law breaker. But like said...how many times have you been pulled over and asked to pop your hood or have an officer crawl under your car?

we have that law here in MA , i was pulled over 2x for it, addressed the issue by ditching my PA Plates and registering the car in MA, now they don't even look at me. The exhaust was clearly just a reason for them to ask why im here from out of state. doubt it will ever be enforced

Probbably because most muscle cars have antique plates and don't go through emissions and bikes are pointless to chase...they stop bikes on south street all the time for it but who would try and chase one. When my car was straight-piped I never even got looked at, the idea is not to drive like a ricer, my **** was fairly loud and I got tired of it before I even got a warning from police.

If you drive normal you will be fine. If you drive like a broke dick you will be profiled everytime.

I think there are alot less muscle cars on the road then imports. And from what I've noticed, the import cars tend to have younger drivers. Younger driver statisticly are more prown to do dumb **** and hense more accidents, hense higher insurance, hense the profoling.
I do agree on the Harley exhausts being way too loud. Cops don't need to chance them down, just get the plate number by casually following them, then flip the lights. Even fi they get away, you got all you need to f' them over.
