Ok guys same as last year I have permission to use the Toys R Us parking lot and we will have a Marine or two. This years event is being sponsored by Area1320 and will feature the Automotion and Lehigh Valley Dutch Dubbers cars clubs. I am waiting on one more thing and I will have a flyer posted in the thread that may be posted on any forum you may be a part of that would like to join us. Last years we had about 50-60 cars and around 100 people let's make it bigger this year.

It is looking good we have somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 cars signed up across the forums. Figure a few cars bringing multiple people and it makes for a nice group of people and a pretty widespread group of cars.

The temp wasn't terrible last year it was that damn wind, it just went right through you.

Now I have the huge egg splatter bare metal area on my roof. Still am coming to this but don't judge my car by the looks cause' of some asshole overnight last night.

I try to make it to alot of meets, and meet as many people as possible in general, but my cars have varying levels of cooperation. I believe my car blew an alternator belt coming to this last year, and my harmonic balancer ate itself when I was going to meet up with Jaime (3rdgenmr3girl) one time, and I had some medical issues last time the forum Staff met up. I think it's Don (Ender) that my car is allergic to.


So I'm just going to tow the car there, and drive it home. :lol:

Fact: the real color of the General wasnt orange it was Corvette Flame Red

The first and probably most often asked question is, "what color is the General Lee?"

There is one page out there that says the General is most definitely "Hugger" orange. That answer, while partially correct, is mostly wrong. You ask, "how can that be?" Well, let me explain. The first Generals were painted Hemi-orange, a real life Mopar color that a '69 Charger could have come from the factory with. However, over the years they used quite a few different oranges to paint the General Lee, Hugger probably being one of them. Also, depending on how much paint they had available, how quickly they needed a car to be ready, etc, etc., they would mix whatever oranges they had on hand so a General could have ended up Hemi or Hugger or a number of other oranges or any mixture thereof (all of them being fairly close to the original Hemi-orange). So while some Generals were Hugger orange, "the" General was not. If you have to pick a "the" General Lee color, I would go with the original Hemi-orange. But since Warner Brothers didn't care, you shouldn't either. For authenticity, all you need to do is pick a color close to Hemi-orange. Wayne informs me that Street Hemi orange engine paint is an exact match for the color on his General

Thanks doesn't even begin to cover how appreciative I am of everyone that showed up for this, this year. This meet is everything I could have hoped for I saw awesome cars, met some great people and got to watch those Toys for Tots bins just keep filling and filling until the back of that truck was packed. If we could get this weather again next year it could be huge.

Also great idea about the food. Maybe we can get something for next year. We all wanted to grab a bit together anyway so why not have a cart or something.
