Thanks to ricer ****s, we had to shutdown the meet for a while until a new location is organized. The new location will, likely, only be available through invitation only and will not be posted publicly in an effort to keep human refuse and ricer trash away from the meet. Check back for updates.

FRIENDLY REMINDER: NO STREET RACING DISCUSSIONS IN THIS THREAD, OR TST FOR THAT MATTER!

After receiving several complaints at the previous location, this meet has been relocated to the now-closed Sport's Authority on RT.38. This is the same plaza/space with the Lowe's Home Improvement and Bally's Fitness. This lot is pretty darn big and the lighting is superb. Let's see how this area works out. Since Sport's Authority is no longer open, we hopefully shouldn't have any problems with customers not having any room to park or property owners complaining. Hope to see everyone there. The meet time remains the same.

STRICT RULES (read before attending)
1. Burnouts are NOT permitted at the meet!
2. DO NOT speed through the parking lot!
3. Showing off your sound system is okay, but there is NO NEED for the entire parking lot to hear it. You will get one warning and one warning only! Keep the volume at a good balance where is it not disruptive.
4. Violence of any kind WILL NOT be tolerated.
5. Strobe lights should not be on for prolonged periods of time. Let's try not to attract more attention than we're already getting.
6. Absolutely NO illegal drugs or alcohol!
7. Try your best to keep your trash in check. We understand that the trash cans are pretty spread out, but if you can help us keep the lot clean, it would be a big help. We clean the parking lot at around 10:30 every Tuesday. If you are unable to throw out your trash, at least gather it up in one area and we will take care of it.
8. If you are unable to follow these simple rules, please do not waste your time or ours by attending.

New Meet Spot is Pretty Sweet, and it's about 2 minutes from Best Buy so all of you that were comfortable with the distance to BB shouldn't have a problem coming here.

Yeah I'm there Monday-Friday. I always park in the same spot on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I park on the end of the 3rd or 2nd rows in the middle portion so that if you enter the lot through the second entrance you'll drive past my car going straight down.

EDIT: the ones you saw go boom, was one of the following things.

they ran the oil low, their precats clogged up, or the PCV valve **** the bed or wasnt changed periodically.

those are the 3 common things that cause this motor to fail.

and run Nitto NT-05's on the street. my next mod is axles. Gonna be working with Driveshaft shop for a custom setup able to handle 800+ft/lbs or the way they rate it for some reason 800+whp

i never understand why axle companies rate axles in HP and not TQ when the TQ is what breaks it and it the only TRUE real value of power so to speak. ahh, thats a whole nuther thread, lol

currently i have no plans whatsoever for AWD. my car isnt a 100% track car, so on the street or highway AWD holds no true advantage if im running the tires i have now and get my axles done.

thus far i see no gain from me going AWD over my current FWD setup since im not losing traction. these Nittos(although not "drag only racing tire") has my car hooking up way better than any other tire i have run.

Also, the speed6 being 4-banger and the chassis slightly different, as well as the bell housing. while it could be done, it would be more of a pain than wat its worth. as well as needing the ECU for the AWD system to work due to the Active TQ split being controlled by electronic solenoids and such.

if i were to go AWD, the best bet for my car would be to try and use the Fusion or Milan drivetrain since it has a V6 and the chassis is somewhat identical.

with the meet getting bigger someone has to take care of the trash everynight. i cleaned up last night, i just threw all the crap in the trunk of the TA, and emptied it into my trash can at home. someone volunteer to do it for next week.
