when i bought my car the back drivers side brake caliper was seized up and the ass that sold me the car drove with it like that for about 2 weeks. i figured it would be easy to clean all the debris off ( which basically turned to a layer of rust on my wheels) but nothings working for me. can anyone help?
thanks

i used brake cleaner.
Better hope there's no clear coat on that barrel and that none of it runs onto the face of the wheel....
OP: What have you used? A citrus cleaner, or an APC cleaner sprayed on and let SOAK for a good 5-10 minutes and then agitation and repeat will be the least damaging way to remove it all. A wheel specific acid will speed up the job as well, but requires much more care.

Griots or P21S wheel cleaner has cleaned everything I have thrown at it so far.
Brake cleaner is fine for cleaning off bare metal parts. Eats thru paint pretty dam quickly.
