hi i have an 01 civic ex, stalls every time its cold out, now normally ladies are liking the car but trying to subtly start it and keep the revs past two just to keep her from dropping out is only getting harder and harder lol. Anyone know why or have had a similar problem? It doesn't throw any codes and i took apart/cleaned the IAC valve but that wasn't it
thx

My guess would be one of the O2 sensors is starting to act up. Hard to test it without the proper OBD2 reading equipment though.

o2 sensor wouldnt keep it from running. It would just keep it from running really well. Is it only when starting it? Main relay maybe?

Sometimes cleaning the IAC doesn't fix it.

The main relay will cause it not to start period. It's just a relay to engage the starter.
I've seen it before, O2 sensors causing the car to run rich. When you start up the car already is running rich to compensate for the block being cold. Rich x2 makes the car have a tough time idling.
Like I said, you need the proper OBD2 reading equipment. This is one of those things that you really will need to take somewhere to have it diaged unless you just want to start throwing money at it hoping it will fix the problem.

the main relay can let your car crank and not start. You see people alot of times crank and crank and crank and not start.
