I've got to find some pictures of my dads old 89 Formula, it had a built 383 stroker, with a paxton blower, riding on a built 700r4 tranny with a shift kit. Thing was mean, left 15 foot marks going into second gear as an automatic lol

The rear is finally finished were trying to figure out if we want to cage it now while its empty inside or just get to work an break it in an then cage it when there's the extra cash. Its hard not to play with the GTO.

BlackZ I'm still waiting to hear about you getting that car out this year haha.

I'm trying i can't even give a date anymore cause my brothers lost the urge to start putting it together. So basically i have chunks of the car just laying around the shop waiting to be installed but he's got so many things he wants to do before he starts so he doesnt have to do them after, the A/C plate being one of them an now he's thinking of just removing everything including the heat. He just bought another car to rip around in that needs its own motor work so he's been playing with that so will see i'm hoping by spring but i'm about to pick up something fun for the GTO so will see lol. But everything is basically done the Carb is tuned the rear is full assembled now brakes are being sent back again for the 4th time as you can see the front of the cars suspension is in the flywheel just came in so we could drop the motor in. Hopefully once everything is bolted up all will need is a 10 or 12 point cage an it will be ready for some passes i forget how many points you need for how fast you go but idk. Still need front wheels an DR's an he said money starts adding up once we start plumbing the car. Man once i stand back an actually look at things it makes me wonder why I wanted to build a car like this in the first place. Should have just kept with my 383 Supercharged idea wouldn't be as expensive i think lol.

I would love to hook some nitrous up to my motor but I don't know enough about power adders and tuning, so I want to keep it as simple as possible haha. It's a little 383 that runs 11.60s with a complete exhaust system exiting in the back. Weighs in at about 3140 without me in it if I remember.

I know the LSX motors can easliy do a 100 dry shot without needing a tune. Just better have a better clutch first.

That it can, but it gets more costly and requires tuning doesnt it? Dry is such a simple design, thats why I like it so much.

Still gotta tune it for a dry shot I was told no matter what you gotta pull some timing. Also our cars have about 2.5 degrees of knock in the higher rpms from factory so its nice to get that tuned out anyway. Yeah the dry shot might be a bit cheaper but the wet shot is more safe when tuned right. I'm pretty sure were tuning again this weekend after emptying it last weekend there still some fuel an timing to be had somewhere. Only part that sucks is our cars are so weak in other places an I don't have the cash to beef up the DD when i got the camaro on the back burner.

here's the engine pic its hiding around in there somewhere lol.

I wish I never sold mine, but it blew a headgasket, and that was before I started working on cars, so I made the big mistake of selling it for $2k.

1988 GTA with Digital dash, T-tops, 350/auto and 88k on it.

There's an 84 Firebird at my uncle's under a tarp. ;)

It doesn't deserve a tarp, but...

And to those who have seen it when I had it out, it's no longer patches mcwinks. The body got straightened and I rebuild the headlight motors...again. They all work. Now it just comes down to whether or not I feel like making it able to get out of it's own way. (305 quadrabog, 700R4, 2.11 blown posi rear. Yes, that's 2.11. Posi is completely blown, and has 0 breakaway torque to spin the tires by hand. Ruhroh raggy! Still does a mean burnout, but takes about 20 minutes to get OUT of it's own smoke)

I had the same setup in my camaro when i first bought it, it was so slow that i use to try to blow it up all the time. Whenever it was cold i'd just start it an floor it right off the bat hoping it would die. I was young then so I dont think i knew how much a motor would run but it did happen an i did end up having the motor replace with in a year of buying it. Then it was all downhill from there lol it ran great for awhile after it stopped breaking things.

It's GARBAGE!

It gets 7mpg, makes no power, and it's the 2nd engine. The first one threw a rod out of the block on I95. I didn't get the choice to put what I wanted in, or another 305. Gar-bage.
