Another catalytic converter question

Scenario: driver gets caught driving w/o a cat conv, but his car is emissions exempt. the officer may say that the car is overly loud...what is the next step?

can you still get a ticket? and if so, for what?

yes u can still get a ticket for the exhaust, doesnt matter if your car is emissions exempt,, but you could probably fight and win in court

hey, someone forwarded me this info to pass on to the group... federal laws state that removing emissions control devices is in fact against the law and there are some pretty stiff fines against car owners as well as shops and dealerships involved with removal / replacement of factory emissions devices.
