Help!

This is what ive come up with... I own an 07 cobalt ss an im looking at cuting the resonator out (replacing with just stainless steal peice of pipe obvsly) and getting a Megan Racing M-GT Muffler, anyone have an opinion on Megan Racing Mufflers? How do they sound? Worth it? Good idea? help!

how are the laws over by where you live? will they pull you over for noise? thats what i would think about first then do it if nothing will happen i don't know much about those cars/exhaust systems. but why not just get a complete bolt on system and go from there

i would not suggest cutting up the stock exhaust, just get a complete bolt on, they are out there, and are not really expensive, and then u can lose the resonator, it will give u a deeper and louder sounding exhaust but they dont sound bad as long as u get a decent muffler

dont cut it up, get aftermarket it will flow better then the stock

The stock exhaust on the SS is 2.5" except where it goes over the rear axle it squeezes down to 2.25" and goes into the muffler. IMO I would replace just from the the axle back it will be cheaper that way. There are companies that offer just the piece that goes over the axle in 2.5". You will need someone to weld the new piece on plus whatever muffler you choose.
