I was looking for a new tial wastegate spring, and was hoping to find a local place due to wanting it before the weekend. I initially called Area1320 (in Easton) because they are close enough that I could easily drive to pickup the part...however they did not have any in stock.

So instead of simply hanging up the phone, the gentleman I spoke with suggested that I try "Verocious Motorsports" to see if they had anything around. I thought this was a great gesture, and took their advice and called Verocious Motorsports.

I called Verocious literally at 3 to 5 minutes before 5 pm...I felt like a jerk calling so late in the day, but luckily I was greeted by another gentleman who was still there (whew!). We spoke for a short bit, and interestingly enough (small world) found out that he grew up in the next down over (Bangor) from where I live, and he knew the exact area I was at. I forget his name at the moment, but a great person to deal with over the phone.

He exclaimed the part was in stock, but that he may not have been able to get the part up to me today due to being so late...I wasn't worried as I understood 100% about UPS pickup timkes (and that they were probably on the way out the door done for the day).....however today at 10am I got my package delivered to the shop, with my fancy dancy new wastegate spring :D I couldn't believe it actually 'made the truck' yesterday.

Thanks to both shops! Support local business!

Cliffnotes:

Area1320 rocks for suggesting another good local shop
Verocious Motorsports rocks for going the extra mile late in the day to get my package on the truck and to me for today.

Awessssomeness!

Cody,

Im glad we could point you to the right place for it. Like I told you on the phone, as long as they get it out on time you'll have it next day ;)

Im guessing you spoke to Tim who lived up here.

Thanks for the kind words and if you need anything else feel free to give us a shout.

Hi Ryan:

Sorry for forgetting your name...I had it written down (I always write down names when on the phone, just in the event we need to call back..but i'm terrible at remembering) I know at our businesses (we have a Trucking Company, and a Semi Truck Repair Company we always suggest other local shops in the event we can't handle a job (due to bookings, or to other circumstances), so it's good to know others do the same.

I totally wasn't even expecting to get the package next day...I know at our shop, the FedEx guy is there at the same time everyday, so it's sometimes tough to process last minute things...but VM pulled it off! I put the spring in the next morning, and it works just like I was hoping...after 2 years, the little 7psi spring must have 'gotten tired' of goign to 20psi.....so a 10psi sping now does the trick :D

I'll def keep you guys in mind though with future parts...I feel bad not supporting local myself, but when I built my 240 (4 years ago) and my turbo Altima (6 years ago), local options were hard to find ya know?

You spoke with Tim. I remember packing up that order as the UPS guy pulled up. We do everything we can to help our customers out. Glad you are happy with our service and our product.
