yup this design aint new.... but its too expensive for mainstream and doesnt offer enough advantage (actually heard it gives less roadfeel and thus isnt preferred) to be used widely otherwise

doesn't give you alot of feel for the road .. but once you get used to it , its a night and day difference .. you no longer have the forks pulling double duty .. you can tune how much brake dive occurs , can have lighter frames cause you do not need a beefy head to take the force normal shocks take, you can have the wheel turn (left & right) on a vertical axis so it will be more responsive..

its a great design really .. just has to get over a few minor problems .. such as a crappy turning radius (swing arm is limiting factor) .. and a big one .. people and there inability to see change for the better .. (motorcycle has to have forks)

i do hope it catch's on cause it would be bad ass

well it also has to overcome a huge price difference. this bike is powered by a ducati engine, yet costs twice as much as a ducati superbike..... not surprising that you never see these around

ever see how a bimota is built ?

lol 1 person builds it start to finish and that one person machines every part him/her self each bike is almost one off

but yes they are crazy expensive .. but i was leaning to the side of bike with out typical front ends (not just bimota) .. if kawi or yami honda suz would build one im sure it would be in the same price range as there other bikes (prolly a lil more for engineering cost's) but i belive it would be worth it .. you really do get alot more advantages to going to the swingarm style front suspension ... alot more then the standard fork set up
