TriStateTuners.com was started one year ago today, on Dec 22nd, 2004.
The forum was started because I was fortunate enough to be a part of a great local forum when I was away at school in Colorado, and when I came home I missed it. We had a small local scene going on here, but I wanted to really organize things and get everyone together for some kickass events, to trade information, make new friends, and just waste some time. Coincidence or maybe not, after the forum was created the local meets grew a lot, and things just went from there.
Before TST.com was created I couldnt have possibly imagined what the past year would have involved. This forum takes a LOT of time and effort, and I absolutely love [hate] it. Yeah I'd definitely describe it as a love/hate kind of thing. I'd also go as far as saying its probably the biggest reason I'm still waiting tables instead of scoring a real job. Anyways, enough about the boring forum owner...
TriStateTuners.com would be nothing without the great member base it has acquired in the past year. Its great to see so many people take so much pride in the group they are a part of. Its not common to have a forum with a friendly helpful atmosphere, but its awfully refreshing, isnt it?
Gotta give a shout out to Pete (teh dirt) who has been my right hand man since the start. We combined our ideas to create the forum and make it what is is today. He's a damn nice guy and you should introduce yourself and shake his hand the next time you see him. Also consider handing him $5 to go towards his engine swap
And also thanks to the rest of the mods who try to help me keep my sanity. Believe me when I say its not all fun and games. It can be incredibly rewarding, but please give a big thumbs up to all the mods on here.
Hopefully this is a nice reminder of where we've come from for those who have been here since the beginning, and its a nice history lesson for our newer members. Here's to another year or ten. :partyman: :supz:

Yeah its been a long interesting year. I dont think ive met as many cool people in my entire life as i did these past 2 years. When Bryan and I first started the forum after I met him at the Red Robin meet, I knew it would be quite popular, but I never imagined it would grow to be this popular (so to speak). We've had our bumps in the road, but like any large "family", we got past them and became better.
Id like everyone to take a minute tonite and thank bryan. Thiis man put countless hours into making this forum better and more efficient for all the members. Almost everyday he comes up with new ways to improve the overall experience of this forum. I know that we both LOVE our forum and will never stop working on it to make it better for the users. See you all tonite!

look at when i don't have time to be bored, and meet some awesome people...
oh and show off that even a little guy can tackle people in a football game on Thanksgiving
thanks bryan, and pete, and the rest of the mods

I remember my first encounter with this crew was with a caravan to the Atlantic City Convention Center in the spring of 2004. Then I decided to check out the local meet at Red Robin back in October 2004. It was the most mellow and mature group (no knuckleheads) I had come across before.
Next thing you know, the website pops up in December. Well, the year has come and gone and I get the feeling this site will be around for sometime to come.
It's a day or two late however...
Congrats to everyone, and Happy Birthday!
