ipod help

i have a pionerr avic n2 in my mazda 6. i have the ipod adapter in my glove box. and i was wondering when i hook it up and play my ipod i cant get to see my list on teh screen i only get to play radomn. Is there anyway to see the song list on the screen thanx

unfortunatley, the ipod interface for the pioneer units isnt the greatest. u can check out the ipod adapters owners manual for how to use the functions on the avic-n2. to be brutally honest: your best bet is to use the aux imput and just plug in the ipod using the headphone jack.

the avicn2 has an aux imput you can use but if you have that taken up with a dvd player, PS2, or some other source, the part you need can be found below:

The part # for the aux imput is: CD-RB10

thanx but i already spent the moeny on the adapter and i like how its in the glove box no one can see i have an ipod when i park it. the unit is a couple months old i just got it instaleld

checking out a song list is probably not going to be possible - i have tried on our floor model without much success. if i can find a way to get better control using the interface, i will certainly post it up.

im soon to get a pioneer h/u and the ipod adapter.. i prolly wont mind the functions, i jus want sumthin that will sound good, unlike the FM transmitters, f*ck i hate those, i hav been listenin to the same 4 cds forver,,, cuz im too damn lazy to lug up the ol' cd case (which is huge) and change em...

here is how to control the ipod functions on the AVIC-N2:



category - band

list - up or down arrow

back or forward song - right or left arrow

ff or rw - hold right or left arrow

select function - A.Menu & then Function

Pause - touch send in function 1

repeat - touch send in function 2

random play - hold send in function 2

switch display - touch send in function 3

switch between auto & manual - touch auto & manual

k thanx. yea i no the avatar is nuts u can only look at one face but then us ee two anyway. thanx for the functions but there no way for u to see it on the screen. yea the fm transmitter sux ull be very happy with the pioneer and ipod adapter mine worx awsome.

FM transmitters don't suck... i used to think so until i bought the... iRiver AFT-100 FM Transmitter... you can get it at bestbuy and crap... but for $50 you get crystal clear sound, i highly recommend this to anyone

i have an extra fm transmitter that i will sell for very cheap, if not free, if you want to try it out. the only problem is it didnt come with the ac adapter for the cigarette lighter (thats the reason i bought a different one), but it still works well. you just either have to get the adapter or use a lot of batteries.
