Try some soapy water in a spray bottle and spry the crap out your engine bay then do a boost leak test and watch for bubbles. That mite help

come to think of since the car was sitting for 2 years could the bov valve seal dry rotted?

Its easier to just do a boost leak test then assume and replace unnecessary parts/gaskets. What are your issues with the car? If I were closer then I'd lend a hand...I could lend knowledge though

just did a boost leak test .... sounds like the valve seat was leaking from the bov... black smoke sputtering under boost the usual symptoms for a boost leak.... just replaced stock bov with greddy type s and hopefully will test drive it tomrrow after i change the oil

I knew I recognized that 1G around all the time. I'll have to stop by the next time I see it there, I'm always driving around that area.

As for the car in this thread, I helped him out one night a week or so ago and we found some boost leaks. The main one was at the BOV and we fixed that but then I believe his turbo went immediately following. I'm not sure what he's planning on doing now.
