Favourite and why?
I know Chrome isn't out, yet, but the idea of it has been circulated plenty to form an opinion. Lets do this based on their strengths and weaknesses.
The Windows PC still appeals to me because it's a platform that is good to lots of people and highly customizeable and flexible. Chrome OS will be a hit with audiences because of its price and engineering. Almost instantaneous booting and a kernel not plagued by subroutines is definitely a plus. Solaris is the best server OS I have ever used and is highly scalable, but it has no business in the personal market. Linux, well, it still has tons of bugs, and those are the "friendly" distributions. Mac's are useless.
In my book: Windows 7 retains the market share and regains some of the mind share of past and present consumers.
