Buying a golf! need some opinions

Hey everyone noob here. ive recently been getting into golfs. im looking at either an mk1 or mk2. love both body styles but if there are any golf owners, id like your imput as to which would be best. thanks and pce:mrgreen:

i love my mk3 but would love to have a 1st gen rabbit like a 70s. There sick either way you go be sure to check for rust:mrgreen:

if you get a mk2 get a 90-92 leaves a lot more options with engine swaps. mk3's are fun too, both are inexpensive. get whatever you like

The MK2 is my vote. Alot of MK3's are rusting and MK1's are really rusty at this point. Unless you're paying big $ for one (mostly with rabbits the 3's you just have to look closely). From what I have seen a MK2 is the safest bet at this point. As long as it hasn't been butchered.
