Tire question

I'm looking at a set of snow tires for my stock wheels. My stock tires on my Evo are 235 45 17 and the snow tires are 225 45 17. I was wondering if these tires would be alright on my rims or if they are too thin. I'm not sure of the specs or dimensions of my stock rims but I was wondering if anyone knew if this size change would be okay. Sorry, I'm just plain retarded when it comes to tire stuff. Too confusing for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

You will be fine. The stock evo rims are 8" wide if im not mistaken, perfect size for a 225/50/17. Go ahead with the tire purchase, you will be fine.
