LT1 guys i need your help!

well i had a hell of a weekend with my rx7. on saturday i want an award for my rx7 and then i went to go auto crossing with it today and on the way there it just shut off. 100% no spark. i know everyone is going to tell me the opti spark. but is there anything else i can check? i can tell you right now i don't want to spend the $500 on a opti spark if i have to spend that money i am going to get my ls1! what else do you think?

don't ask me why but i went out to the garage just now and checked for fuel pressure and it was at ZERO so i gues i need to get a new fuel pump

so u got no spark and no fuel... and people wonder why i hate the LT1. Dont get me wrong it played a big part in the LS series engines but its like when u have ur first kid its new so u screw some things up, by the time ur on the third every thing is pretty much down pat and running great. Id say buy a LS1 theres a guy on ebay in bucks county here who buys and parts out fbodys and vettes.

gotcha, I work at an auto parts store part time if u want i can get u a price on a stock opti and fuel pump if ur gettin rid of the LT1.

thanks for the offer but i can tell you right now if its not the fuel pump and it is the opti spark the lt1 is coming out! i got 1300 saved up now and i only need like 300 more to get an ls1 so the ls1 will go in place of the lt1 opti sparks are to dam pricy!!

There is NOTHING wrong with an LT1
I have had 2 of them,One of them was a DD that ran 11.70's NA/10.50's N20

I would agree,dont waste the money on the MSD unit

I would just get a new GM unit,if u have a later LT1 this will be a vented unit
This is the 95-97 but u will need to change the pin on the cam for proper timing.

Next I would look to a intank pump but again if your running a RX7 tank I am not so sure the Racetronix kit will work...Instead I would opt for a good inline along with the intake as long as u have a return style system along with a regulator mounted on the rail....

the pump is working i put a 9v to it and it turned right on no problem. still no spark so i am not sure what else to look at yet i wonder if my pcm died on me

yea prob with the opti's is actually caused from the water pump. when the motor sees high revs over the miles the pump begins to leak right onto the opti. a couple fbody guys i know have all had this problem. they just got a new opti along with a meizere elec water pump. no more leak, no more bad opti. But im with you drifting just get a LS1

well it turns out that its my main relay! i had a jumper to the main relay and it turned on for a second it died because my fuel pump rela got messed up. i ran a full 12v to the fuel pump and the jumper on and it started with no problems! dam these relays!

well its not fixed until i can find me a relay but at least i know now what the problem is!
