alright so i just swapped an sr20det into my 240. it ran really ****ty when i started it and now it doesnt run at all it just clicks. so i pulled the valve cover off and found that the spark plug holes are all full of fuel and i think that it is hydro locked now.... i cranked it by hand and everything turns fine it just wont kick over anymore. i have a feeling that the timing is off. the right cam (exhaust cam) is set at 3 o clock and the left cam (intake) is at about 12 o clock at top dead center. does anyone know what the time should be at when the crank is at top dead center? is it possible that the timing is just that far off that it is ****in everything up or will fixing the timing and trying to start it just do bad bad things to the head/block? i dont think that any of the valves are bent is it worth ripping the head off to check all that out?
its an sr20det red top motor.
