A little story for you kids. Pull up a chair.

Seriously though, I am at my wits end with them. Here's why:

Monday the 5th of December us TSTers went out in the snow to play around. I wound up hitting a curb and bending a control arm. Sad, but not that big a deal. I scrounged around for a few days before finally deciding to buy a new control arm and wheel bearing from Jamie(Subie Gal) on NASIOC. She runs the internet parts department for a Subaru dealer under the webiste SubaruGenuineParts.com. I suck it up and order it on Friday, the 8th. Very early in the AM, before I have to work. I paid the extra to have it overnighted so I could reassemble ASAP.
Then things go downhill.
I get an email stating that they are out of stock and that they would rush order one and ship it out first thing Monday the 12th. One week after the incident. I was assured it would be overnighted and I would have it the 13th, Tuesday.
I get another email. The VIN I sent was for an 04 WRX and the parts were different. VIN or not, I was given the part number by them. OK, whatever. Parts are shipped on Tuesday.

BY THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE!! Who uses the Post Office to ship? This means that I have to be home to sign for it Wednesday(today). Obviously I was at work, not signing for packages.
Now I have to take a day off of work to sign for this package, so I can get my car together before the next snow. And I STILL got charged for overnighting the package I ordered last Friday. :furious:

This is the first, and last time I will deal with them. They are a member in good standing on NASIOC, and there are a ton of happy people over there. I just felt I needed to get this out there. I am not trash talking anyone, just stating the facts in my particular case, and expressing my disappointment with a highly praised member of the Subaru community.

Worth exactly $.02

Tons of happy people of not, it needs to be posted on NASIOC. If they screwed you, then people need to know about it. Maybe they will make sure it doesnt happen again, therefore you are actually helping the subaru community.......just my .02

sounds like it was more a series of unfortunate events than them screwing him, from how i understand it... but still, yes a heads up would be good... and to double check the VIN!

Damn dude that sucks. Yea I would def say something to them, or atleast reply in the thread that you had a problem with their shipping. It might get you money back.

Next time talk to J.Reed He gets me my parts through his dad. You just need a part number and model/year. He gets fairly large discount. and gets most parts in about a week.
