Can an ATT customer transfer their upgrade to another persons account who is not eligible for an upgrade?

you can however just get the upgrade phone, get it activated and swap the phone with them, i did that when i broke my phone, i wasnt eligible for an upgrade yet and a refurbished phone was way to expensive, so my mom upgraded her phone, kept her old one which still worked and gave me her new phone,

thats the beauty of sim cards
