Hey guys....just wanted to know if this is happining with other 2002-2003 models of the wrx, When going over slight bumps, traintracks, potholes...ect.
my ABS tends not to stop right away...as if it takes a min to actually kick in. Ive been having this problem for quite some time now, just didnt know if it was my car or what...Well today in the mail i received a letter from SUBARU "NHTSA" (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) Saying there is a recall on the ABS systems on the 2002-2003 years, Just wanted to post up incase anybody else is experancing this problem. Subaru said that they will upgrade the ECU with a modified better electronical ABS system of no charge.

Ive been to Subaru a number of times trying to get this problem solved and they told me time after time there is no problems...Im pretty pissed off about this, hope i can help anybody else that has been encountering this problem.

yo Matt. I got the same thing in the mail but I aint bringing my car there, cuz they will just void my warranty and you got the same setup as me, so they will void yours too. Also if they put a new ecu in my car it will **** with my tune I think. Im not trying to get my brakes fixed for free and then ruin a $700 tune.

Sounds like you guys have a cool setup. You can play with the brakes a lot and the ABS will only cut in when things really get out of hand.

yeah i feel you on that subject bro....but still like my brakes feel like s**t all the time, i feel i should get sumthing out of this, its Bulls**t I paied for each time i went and got it checked out..i dont want them to F**k with my ecu but i atleast want like sum subaru bucks or sumthing. They also said they wont do anything if you have upgraded brakes so i would be out of the picture anyway.

Just go to a dealer and tell them that you just want a new controller. THen install it yourself. They dont have to see that your car has been modified.
