View Full Version : CAR AUDIO - what's everyone think of the Clarion ProAudio VRX755VD?
What's everyone think of this head unit? I love how it has a secondary display so the screen doesn't have to be open all the time... and it sounds like the iPod interface is amazing

thanks for taking a look at this and giving me your opinion... seems to be a great bang for the buck for $899!
if anyone else knows of a dvd headunit that has a secondary display and even NAV for around 1200, let me know!

i've owned two clarion decks
the faceplates are huge!
i went for sound quality and never owned a screen, but it looks liek it has 24 bit DACs and most likely 4 volt preamp outputs, so sound quality will be awesome
nice, thanks for the input... i'm hoping fred can chime in (DERF)

Yo!
the clarion is nice for the dual displays. whate even nicer is that the second display is actually a removeable faceplate so you can protect yourself from thieves. if ure looking for ipod integration - its an awesome head unit to go with, the functionality is excellent. the only downside however is that clarion offers NO type of add-on nav system for their monitors. but other than that - its a really nice unit. call me & i can go into further details & get u a good price.

Clarion is nice, but there are so many more options in that price range Kenwood, Pioneer, etc. I have some great deals on with Kenwood, Pioneer pieces and add on NAV. PM ME if your interested

Wow. Nice ass headunit man. Im planning on buying an in dash dvd player, just not sure on what to go with.
that clarion is a bang for the buck... although I want NAV too but dont want to blow a lot of money. I think I might give this clarion a shot or maybe just say screw it and look for an avic-n1 or n2...
man, this stuff is so much harder to decide than engine mods!

get the kenwood ddx 2din h.u. They look stockish (less pron to being stollen), less motorized parts to break, kenwood is better- just behing pioneer and alpine, and I like it!
I got a pioneer avic-d1. it is amazing
