View Full Version : 03 Maxima ebrake cable.

My ebrake cable snapped or something. It was like that when i got the car but i yanked it accidentally and it locked my rear left tire. Any suggestions on how to get the caliper to release the rotor?

It sounds like the cable seized in the "on" position. You can always disconnect to the cable from the caliper and secure it out of the way until you get a new cable. You will probably have to carefully pry the cable off of the caliper since it's stuck.

I got it. There is a spring type mechanism behind the rear caliper. I just gently hammered it back to position to release the rotor!
