lol lt1 is the lt family which is the lt1 lt4 l99 only i think three or 4 of the lt family two 350s lt1 lt4 and the l99 (i think its l99) is the smaller 4.3

L76 is basically an LS2 with different heads/cam isn't it? From a GT8 GT?

The small block chevy.... There was a lot of name sharing too IE LS6, LS3, L92.

Generation 1 and 2
Started production in 1955 and went up to 1997-2002 (depending on application). Sizes ranged 262, 265, 283, 302, 305, 327, 350, 400 Cubic inch.
The LT family (LT1, LT4, L83, L98 is generation 2). There was also the off the map 32valve 4 overhead cam, aluminum LT5 which was an engine of its own.

Gen 3
Started in 1997 and ended in 2004. Came in aluminum and iron versions

3.90 inch bore LS1 - LS6 (Both aluminum 5.7 Liter)

3.78 inch bore LR4 (4.8 Iron) , LM7 (5.3 Iron), LM3 (5.3 Iron), L59(5.3 Iron, flex fuel), L33 (5.3 Aluminum)

4.0 inch bore LQ4/LQ9 (6.0 Iron)

Gen4 / Gen5 (not confirmed name but successor to gen 3/4)

3.78 Inch bore, LY2 (4.8 Iron), LY5 & LMG (5.3 Iron), LH6 and LC9 (5.3 Aluminum), LS4 (5.3 Aluminum FWD)

4.00 Inch bore, LS2 (6.0 Aluminum), L76 (6.0 Displacement on demand), L98 (6.0 aluminum), LFA (6.0 Iron Active Fuel Management (new name for DOD, a late-intake valve timing system "Hybrid Engine")

4.125 Inch bore, LS7 (7.0 Liter Aluminum), LS7.R (7.0 Liter Aluminum limited race team engine),


4.06 Inch bore, LS3 / L92 (6.2 Liter Aluminum), L99 (6.2 Liter Aluminum Active fuel management), LS9 (Aluminum 6.2 Liter, 2.3L supercharger), LSA (Aluminum 6.2Liter, 1.9L supercharger)

LSX, GM's rated 2400 HP, Iron block race engine. Ordered by GM Performace parts in flavors in aluminum or iron from 363CU (6.0) to 511CU in many bore / stroke options
