My girlfriend has an 05 Sentra SE-R. It has had sap on it for a while now, and i have been to busy to get it off. The sap is hard now. Im sure it will come off without any damage to the paint, but the question is......what do i use to get it off? I know somebody here has gotten sap off their car before, i need some tips. Thanks. :)

I've used a hairdryer to soften sap enough to pull it off.

You can do what Muddy said then use some bug and tar remover or that orange stuff that you have.

Oh yeah, after you pull it off there will still be some sticky goo left over. Bug and tar remover works well, as does goof-off. Just make sure to wax the area afterward because most of that stuff will strip the area clean of any wax that was there.

goo-gone works well too, though i think it's a similar product to those previously mentioned...

Yeah, i figure that goo gone would do that trick. I have plenty of that at home, so ill give it a whirl. Take the wax off, whats that???????? I dont even think the car has been washed yet, haha. Next on my list, im gonna wash it up and wax it good before winter, cause i know she wont do it/get it done, haha. :wiggle:

Denatured Alcohol works well, but it also takes off wax.

I'd say take it to a detailer, cuz i wouldnt want to mess up brand new paint on the car, just be carefull.
