hey guys i found a 2002 camaro z28. about 53k miles, 6 speed, already has full headers and exhaust... sounds crazy. black leather, although there are a few rips. power windows, but pass side doesnt work at all and is stuck open, allowing some rain in for who knows how long...

how much do you think this car is worth? ive always wanted one...

i'd pass... if the window has been stuck open for "who knows how long" then the previous owner obviously didn't give a **** about the car.

well its a repo car... so i dont really know too much about it. there are nice coated headers on it though, so someone cared enough about it to do that...

kelly blue balls said about 8k in good condition... crazy. i thought these cars went for over 10...

i figure in the condition that its in, i could probably get it around 5? i dont know

i'd still pass... a repo car? someone obviously didn't care enough about the car to pay for it...

lol yea well if they did care for it and pay for it, then it wouldnt have been repo'd, and then people like me wouldnt be able to get a great deal on it...

cared for cars aren't repo'd and go for top dollar. the whole point of this situation is buying a car ive always wanted for cheap.

I'd be stoked it i could get it for 4, and I'd still buy it for 5. Wouldnt go any higher than that though.

I would pick it up, Clean it up alot, and make it look proper. Then when the market is there again, sell for profit and pick up a SS for cheap.

Isn't it amazing how much american cars depreciate ifr it was an accord or a camery or anything imported it would be worth much more. I would offer 3500 and see where the price ends up, but would be willing to pay 5 if its not to rough, I always wanted a 96 Z. As for sellin it for an SS whats the difference really 10-20 hp from the ram air, its all ready made up more then that w/ the exhaust work.

Apparently you have never driven a LS1 SS....Its a entire new ball park

The Z28 (98-02 that is) is also an LS1, the SS just has a appearance package and different intake.

Frosti, I'd say about 8K in good condition. As for the passenger side window not working, it's extremely common. It will happen in every single 98-02 Camaro on this planet at some point lol. Window motors are like $50 at Autozone, kind of a bitch to put in but not terrible.

That being said, I didn't really like mine at all. They just have zero "feel" and really felt like I was driving a boat. Sounded cool as **** and it moved damn well for stock, but with all of the nagging problems that I kept having to deal with I just didn't think it was worth it and got rid of it.

Possibly better swaybars? Never really heard that one though, could be.

If you are looking for a reliable DD then I'd say pass, but if you want a project car, go for it!

Get somebody that knows their stuff about F-Bodies to inspect it for you. I'm always weary of modified cars.
