Hey everyone, I'm new to the site and live right outside of Philly. About a month ago I traded in my 350z for a 2010 Genesis Coupe V6 Grand Touring, I'm loving the car so far. Here are some pics - sorry for the quality, they are from my Iphone:

The car is just as powerful or more powerful (depending on the year) than the Z, and it has back seats. There is nothing wrong with buying a Hyundai, it's the same as buying a Honda.

No, not true at all. It pulls just as hard as my Z which was in the low 5's. MT and Car & Driver hit 5.5 and 5.7 respectively and that was without the ECU reflash.

I bought it from Porter Hyundai in Newark, DE. They originally had a mark-up on it, but I got it for just under MSRP, plus they paid off my Z.

I think its very poorly designed, The front is full of odd looking plastic.. the grill is ugly,, from the side looks like a typical hyundia..... Im not saying anything about the power or the engine.. 300 hp is always a good thing.. They should have made a better effort to set that car apart from the rest of their fleet.. Like changed that stupid H badge,, that RUINS the whole entire car..

Nice car man, too many people hating on it. Yes its a Hyundai, but people said the same thing about all Jap cars when they first came out. Don't hate something just because of the badge, theres plenty of brands I hate that have some sick-ass models, and it doesn't make them any less bad-ass just because I don't like their brand.

I have a pretty long commute to work, so the auto works for me. Plus, the auto Gen's have been getting the same, if not better times than the manuals.

Whatever works for you dude. I used to work at a Hyundai dealership less than a year ago and my opinion is the majority of their cars are garbage. I'm not gonna jduge the Genesis though because I never got a chance to drive one yet. They were really hyped though for the last 3 months I worked there. I personally think that orange one would look badass with a drop, and a sick set of wheels!^^

For one of the first times ever I actually think an aftermarket grille makes the front of that car. If by chance I ever buy one of these (Doubtful?) but I love the way their body lines are because you can have that black roof/two tone hood and it looks like it fits right in.

I am totally diggin the HKS Gen, the hood and the grill make a big difference. The only part I don't like is how the rear window dips down, it breaks up the line to to me. I think we're going to be seeing a lot of this car, especially on the drift circuit in the coming years. Dollar for dollar this is a good buy, and the after-market is going to jump on this one. Smart marketing on Hyudai's part...

Yeah I'm in Springfield. Like I said, it was more for practical purposes that I traded the Z since I got married. Plus, it was tough owning the 350 when I knew that the 370 was so superior, at least performance wise, lol.

its been getting a lot of work done by HKS and many major korean companies. hyundai also offered a few to other big evo/dsm tuners like AMS, Buschur, and a few others. It's going to have a massive massive aftermarket support.

Welcome. I wasn't feeling the Genesis at all until I saw the HKS version. The grill change makes huge difference. I personally don't like hyundais had a 1997 or 99 Sonata that kept breaking down every other week. I finally got tired of it and junked it. But looks like they changed their M O and become more reliable. I just wouldn't buy because of previous personal experience.

Actually almost every comparo has put it up against the G37 and it's won. Hyundai also stated that they used the G37 as their bencgmark during production.
