Hey all,
I'm lookin to buy some adjustable coilover's for my 03 Lancer, and i'm checkin out different manufacturers. Of course Tein is top end, but anyone have any opinions on Skunk2? Quality of their work? I've heard they're good, but figured I'd ask for feedback.

skunk2 coilover sleeves are crap. they'll blow your struts out and have an extremely harsh ride. do yourself a favor and don't cheap out on suspension, it'll be worth it in the end.

as long as you get the whole coilover set up skunk2's arent bad but, if you get the sleeved skunk2's your car will be like a jumping bean. Very bouncy and horrible ride now if you go with Tein i've never had any problems with nething they sell. The ride on some of there coilovers is great feels like stock but your car can be slammed. I have Tein springs on my honda right now with stock struts and the rides pretty good. Hope this is some help for you.

We recommend TEINs as well. If you're interested in installation/pricing stop by our shop or give us a call.

Skunk2 doesn't offer the full coilover kit for this car. Go with Tein on this one.

teins all the way!!!!
skunk2 coilovers arent even real coilovers.. if you want skunk2 than just get their springs and get some decent struts, but still wont compare to the quality of teins.

I loved my Tein Basics. Very nice set of coils.
Skunk 2 coils are crap. I will never ever use them again.

This is the type of bad advice that needs to stop being spread around so people can make better informed decisions.
When you put a higher rate spring on a stock damper that isn't designed to handle the rate, of course the ride will become harsh/bouncy. You can't throw some coilover sleeves on stock shocks and expect it to perform well.
