The weather was great today, so I decided to detail my car.
I started out with a basic wash, maguires swirlX, and maguires tech wax. Came out great. It was my first time using the swirlX, and I have to say, I really like it a lot.

Well how bad were you swirled? I'm curious at trying this swirlx but if you had very very minor swirls I'll pass on trying it.

Its a black car with 10yr old paint. So it was badly swirled.
Here is a before shot. Keep in mind this was actually really clean and nice looking in person. The flash exaggerates it and washes out the shine you normally see.

now here it is after the swirlX, and wax.

You can probably get better results with a buffer, but I did this all by hand.
I also dont know how long these results will last, as I assume the swirlX and wax is just filling in a lot of the scratches, but either way, im happy with the results.

Just make sure you get their tech wax too (or any other wax) and use it after the swirlX.
Initially right after just applying the swirlX, my results actually looked worse. This was because it was kind of hard to get all of the swirlX off the car and i was seeing remains of the product behind. However after applying the wax, I was able to get the final result.

The crappiest OEM paint is 10 times better then the best aftermarket paint.

eek
Well, glad it got rid of the swirls but didn't do much for the rids/spiderwebbing (still seen in the after shots, those little random lines in the light) Still a good turnout for a hand app, however without a buffer and a polish immediately after before the wax your results won't last long. :(

Thanks. I dont have a buffer, and you or jon don't seem to want to help a brother out, so this is all I can do for now.
