Yeah, reminds me when I taught my girl to drive stick. Her first attempts were on her father's old 91 Ford F-150, but that clutch is heavy as hell and has no feel to it. Her dad also taught her some improper ways of using a clutch (eg - burning it), by telling her she needs to hold the clutch in (even when the car is in neutral) when coming to a stop or at a stop (some minor examples).

I quickly snapped her out of those habits and showed her the correct way. She learned on my older Si and now she wants to purchase a car that's manual since she has to confidence of driving around town now instead of parking lots. I remember the first time she asked me to leave the parking lot and drive home to her house (I will admit I was a little nervous, but I said, Suuree!). :o

Makes ya proud, kind of like a dad watching his son/daughter ride a bike for the first time.:mrgreen:
