I'm deciding to purchase a new car since I now have steady income and could afford a car. I'm debating if I should get a Sti, 350Z, or a G35? (in MT of cousre) I plan to keep it stock or close to stock. I also plan to drive it as a DD from and to work(20 minutes) and to cruise around for fun- no crazy stuff though. What's everyone's opinion on it? and why? Thanks for the help I need to slim down my choices.

my budget is 21K or less
I'm looking for the best affordable sports cars(no honda civic, accords, or cars of that sort)

nothing wrong with the Z. Economy is tough now so you might get a good deal from dealership for a 06-08 350Z. fully loaded OTD of 21K is not that hard to find or negotiate.

What are you looking to get out of the car? Do you have another car to drive? Reason I ask is just because like the Z and G35, yea, they are nice, but what about when it comes time to go on a trip or move anything bigger then a back pack? lol. Or driving around more then one other person. Do these make any difference to you?

Right now, I drive a 2000 honda accord 4 door as my DD. My mom has a 2004 camry which i could drive if I ask her for it. I need something different. I want something sporty. I've been driving the sedan for 4 years now and I feel I should get a MT and have some fun with it. Not anything wreckless but something nice to cruise around with. I normally just drive alone or with one of my friend or my girlfriend so my car is rarely packed at all. The things I would keep in my car would be my gym bag, my book bag and some clothes and books, nothing big. I'm 22 and I work full time at a gym so I basically have no big responsbilities any time soon like having a family or having to move big stuff around.

I also don't want a civic, rsx, or an accord. I want something nice and affordable in stock form already. I'm not big with mechanics so I don't plan to get a civic and put mad work into it. I want something good from the get go.

If you want something fun to drive, and all year round practicality, get a WRX wagon.

Sti, 350Z, or a G35
Out of these three and keeping it stock. I'd get the G35

Eh, I'm gonna go with G35. I like the Z's for what they are but as far as practicality is concerned, I'd say having a back seat would be higher up on my list. Depends on what you want, more performance or more luxury, I guess.

i've driven a AT g35 and i love it. I have yet to test drive a Sti or a 350Z. Oh yeah, one more thing. I'm 6'2" and I weigh 200(toned and athletic). So I guess I shouldn't get a Z then cause of my size. so that narrows my choice down to a Sti or a G35 or maybe a TL or TSX. I like the luxury, sporty look.

both. I'm looking for older models. anything between 2005-2007. To be exact, my budget would be 15K.

HAH what's wrong with the 09's TL or TSX? I haven't been keeping up to date with newer models.

get the G you'll be much happier with that over a sti, and you might be a bit uncomfortable in a Z (its a bit tight)

one of my favorite cars in the Z but the fact that its a 2 seater is a huge turn off. id say go with the G. you get that sweet ass exhaust note + 2 more seats.

If it's staying stock, I'd go G35 just because it will be a nice luxury sports car.
But honestly, Go to a few dealerships and just drive them dude. Take them all out for an hour or something. It's your money. Buy the one you enjoy most. Don't base your decision on our opinions..

I'd go for the G35 also. But if it was for me I'd first look around for a good deal on a M3 e46 with as low miles as I could.

just judging by this post i assume you live at home?
if thats the case, i seriously recommend moving out and getting your own place or living with room mates... you'll have more fun in general, and chicks will like you more
if you already have your own joint... i'm gonna say a 350z. the g35 just seems... douchebagish...

if you live a place that gets a lot of ****ty weather get the sti
if you live in a place with decent weather and you plan on modding the car get the 350z.....(cheaper price tag, same car as the g35, has better looking cosmetic aftermarket
if you live in a place with decent weather and you're leaving the car stock get the g35 (better quality interior stock vs. stock against the 350z, pretty much the same performance wise with a little less hp depending on the model)

You should get an Audi S4, AWD, Sporty and it has four doors so you don't have to sacrifice practicality.

i could sacrifice practicality cause like I said I don't have many responsbilities( I don't have kids or whatnot) and my mom has a 2004 camry that she rarely drives so if I say the word I would drive it. Keep in mind I'm a tall guy so right now I'm leaning towards a Sti.

i say sti or, evoVIII you might be able to find one for 15-21k. the thing i think the sti has it that its got 4 doors good leg room in the back etc. but a g35 would be nice to just toss a cat-back exhaust on and enjoy, then again so would a STi, tough choices, i wish i had 21k to spend on a new(er) car
... then again most of it would go into the talon haha

I live near center city so roads aren't that bad.

honestly i wouldn't rule out the 350z because of room... you'll fit with no problems. if you are worried about "comfort and "luxury" then don't get the sti or an evo, though i find them comfortable they aren't going to be anything like a G. i would steer clear of the acuras as they are FWD and you are loosing the sporty factor and going more luxury. it sounds like your best bet is the G35, but if you can give up some of the comfort look for an Evo IX or a nice STI. drive all of th em and see what YOU like best, since they are all very different cars.

personally id go with a used 06-07 sti or evo. reason being is i love the fact i have 4 doors and plenty of room. another reason would be because i commute a half hour to school everyday plus work and what ever else, and im more comfortable with all wheel drive as oppose to just rear wheel or front wheel....imo of course

The fact that it's a 2 seater proves its a sports car. It has the same sound as the G as well. The G35 might be 4 seats, but the two in the back are useless for anyone above the age of 12. It'd still be my vote of the 3, though.
