If you could get Mike Tyson and Bruce Lee in a no holds barred fight when both were in the peak of their fighting condition who do you think would win?

There are no refs, no ring, no weapons, no gloves, no shoes. Just Mike and Bruce in a jockstrap(for obvious reasons) and fighting pants/shorts.

Yeah, as much as Bruce Lee is an amazing martial artist, a "street fight" with a thug who needs only one solid punch to take someone down is a little different. If anyone were to stand chin to chin with Tyson in his prime, he'd need to be wearing a Knight's helmet... :lol:

That's true...I guess you could say the martial artist's body is in much better shape overall than the boxer, who only concentrates on power.

Yeah, i think this would be a super close match. Boxers are built to sustain alot of heavy blows to the body and protect the head. Bruce lee is an avoidance master though so tyson would have a problem landing anything. I think Bruce would eventually win though. Tyson would try for his knock out punch and Bruce would avoid it and give him a heel to the chin.

It's always true.

Anyone who is containing a large capacity of muscle-mass will always be slower. Muscle adds weight. Although there is power behind it, powerful hits are useless unless the impact occurs.

Bruce Lee has muscle, but it was well defined. The guy look liked he was carved from wood. And while being a lighter weight and smaller frame, he also had greater speed and incredible flexibility.



As for fighting.
Lee's wu shu consisted mostly of elements of Wing Chun, with elements of Western Boxing and Fencing, and named it Jun Fan Gung Fu. He expanded this style over time, including elements from Muay Thai, Indo-Malay Silat, Panantukan, Sikaran, Bando, Catch Wrestling, Karate, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and other arts. It would only be much later that he would come to describe his style as Jeet Kune Do.

All Tyson knows is punching hard and ear biting in boxers. :roll:

You make i t sound as if tyson was a slug, he wasnt. Granted Lee is faster but tyson wasnt just power. he was one of the fastest boxers ever.

To get a little scientific... Bruce lee at most weighed what... 140 at most? Tyson weighed in around 230 i believe. Both are well trained at getting everything into their shots while at the same time minimizing the effects your opponents shots have on you. Tyson being in the heavy weight class was adept at taking multiple blows from guys who can exert much more force then bruce lee could. Soo the real question is yes lee is quick enough to get his shots in, but would they have a devestating effect on tyson or would he shake them off. Tyson is a beast, and while he is much bigger than lee was his is still very fast, not that much slower than lee. This would be a battle of attrition. I think in the end tyson would tire from chasing lee around and would ultimatley lose. But if you put them in a ring where tyson could pin him up against the ropes, then i think it would go the other way. But since i said no ring that doesnt matter.
