i would say that its looks like the frame is very good still. it does look like the sideskirt your worried about in frame damage took the hit pretty well. looks very good to me. i'd buy it.

I don't know why people say they have no torque, they honestly felt fine to me...or maybe it's cause I wasn't lugging the car around at 2000rpm like most people that complain. Handle well, good quality, good engine, I like them.

That damage looks fine if you really wanted to have a body shop put it on a rack and see if its bent or sitting funny. cleanneon id agree with you i test drove one awhile ago it was fun to drive, it does seem to lag a little but it a stock car upgrade some stuff you will be killing vtak yo haha

The car is meant to be revved high, I found myself easily shifting the ones at work at 4500-5000rpm (this is already with the F22 AP2 model) just going around town, the gearing is pretty quick so you may not even notice. If you expect to be able to step on it at 3k and take off like a rocket, look elsewhere.
Honda engines are very fun to drive because they have their power up high, so you have to really wind them up to get to the juices, they really don't have much down low but they are meant to be driven in a way where you don't notice. I did a "torque test" against my buddy with a new Si sedan with header and full exhaust, 4th from 30, and I started to pull on him almost immediately, just for reference, but when I went against an S2000 on the highway from higher RPM, his throttle response alone surprised me like hell and it took me about 60mph to get even.
If you can get that car for 7900, you'd be a fool not to, considering you can't even touch another roadster in that class for less than high teens right now, more-so with the upcoming convertible season.

i remember the owner that was on here calling the person he sold it to (guessing the one on craigslist) a total dick.... so who knows what type of condition the car is in. honestly i wish this car was available when i sold my Z because i probably would have tried to get it

Id say watch your back with it. sometimes frame damage in a 2 seater car designed like that could get you killed even if repaired right. Not to mention its not fun trying to fix it. When an ins company does an apraisal on a newer car mostley 2 seater sports cars when the frame is bent 9 times out of 10 there going to total it. I have seen this with ferraris and lambos a lot even if the frame is slightley bent its totled just because frames on thoes kinda cars are made almost to prefection. and from what i understand s2000's frames were very funny frames.

for $7,900 I couldn't imagine passing on the deal. Is this going to be your only car or are you keeping the Altima listed in your avatar as a DD.

For that price, I'm not surprised. If you want a fun roadster, look into a second generation Miata, they are in your price range, I think they are more fun to drive than an S2000, and with a little supercharger, can be a TON of fun and move great too. Just don't get one with a 6-speed if you plan to boost.
That and there's the Z3 but I think it feels soft and they are higher/more expensive on maintenance than a jap car would be.

Careful buying a car thats been in an accident... frame damage isnt usually very obvious but it can be extremely expensive to repair, and you run the risk of the repair not being done by the book. If not done correctly the car might not ever drive right, and it could be deadly in the event of an accident because of a compromised crumple zone.

i would get this one instead! no damage to be worried about just check everything else out. as for the one in this thread just check everything and see if he agrees to let you take it to a body shop and have them look it over

driven a buddy's for a while, but his was supercharged so can't give you solid mpg but its a fun fun car in the high rpm range. granted there's no solid torque band but once it gets up there it goes.
