FWIW, there are currently 2 for sale on Nikon Cafe. One is $3675, and the other is $3300. I alomst returned mine so that I could buy the one listed at $3300. Actually, I think he is at $3200 now.

Ski... i think you are referring to a video camera? and i would then tend to think that most people hook up an external mic and place that in the car so there is no wind noise?

And the D300 is great, but if you can swing it, the D700 is worth $1000 more. I loooove mine, its... fantastic. Its like a priceless upgrade, but talking dollars I got $1150 for mine a couple months ago I guess so I'd imagine they're worth that much at most now... so thats a pretty good deal they offered you I think, especially for a trade in where you normally get burned.

So maybe one day I'll go out and take some photos. Maybe.

You guys aren't helping, hahah. And I'm going back to that store today. If the D700 is still there, I might not be able to help myself.

They also have a really awesome selection of old manual focus lenses (including stuff like the 105/2.5, 35/1.4, other classics) and modern used stuff (80-200 AF-S, etc), so if anyone is looking for something let me know. Their used Leica/Contax section is also pretty drool-worthy.

word... thats a helluva a deal. I knew it was lee camera when you said all the Leica stuff. That store is incredible. I asked what there outright selling price would be for the body alone, and they told me 2695 or so. Seemed a little high when B&H has it for 2440 give or take 50 bucks.
